I think it's freeserve that's the problem - I believe what you have is not two email accounts, but two aliases of the same email account - so all your emails are actually in one email box at the server.

If you set up rules in Outlook Express todownload your emails when in your identity, based on the content of the address field - but not to download emails with your wifes address. Then do the opposite in your wifes identity - then you should be OK.

Tools - Message Rules - Mail - follow the wizard.

This is the Freeserve page for setting up individual mail accounts on Outlook Express.click here

Thanks DieSse
Have tried to do as you advised but the Rule Description always states " Apply this rule after the message arrives"

which rather defeats the object.

Can I edit this so it does it before the message arrives

Cheers

Philip

Have you tried the advice given by Freeserve?
You will need seperate identities within OE for this to work.

Agree. Only works with separate identities (the bit after the @ sign in your examples must be different). If Freeserve can't do it, BTOpenworld can.
