I know the risks of having the preview window open within any email client but does anyone know if the same risks are true if the AUTOPREVIEW (3 lines of text shown under sender) that Outlook uses has the same risk?

sir radfordin, i have used outlook with auto preview and outlook express with auto preview.
I can remember something about an email exploiting a loophole in the program and caused havoc in outlook express.
Been with outlook for 2 years now and had no probs so far.

If you have a decent AV, then there basically are no risks. I've always had previews switched on, and never caught a virus - the AV gets them all before they even get to the inbox.
