Currently going off Gates's empire.
Can anyone suggest an alternative email client

Becky! - click here - excellent, costs about US$40 or so; has an excellent support group on yahoogroups.

Eudora - pay, AdWare or lite versions.

Pegasus mail - - free and good.

Mozilla has a good one built in if you want to change browsers too.

If you do not wish to change browser, Mozilla also does a separate e-mail client called Thunderbird which easily imports OE address books.

BTW I have been using Thunderbird for a couple of weeks and I find it quite promising.

Used Pegasus Mail for many years and found it to be excellent at most things. Have had to switch to Outlook because of needing to learn how it works!

Pegasus does have some odd quirks and doesn't handle rules too well but other than that is excellent.
