Elite Keylogger

I wonder if anyone can help my friend who has discovered a keylogger on his pc.

He was scanning using A2 and now cannot remove it.

Is there a recommended free prog to remove such a problem?

Your help would be very welcome as he is quite concerned as you can imagine.

All you need to know about Keyloggers

I would suggest downloading and running SpyBot Search and Destroy to try and remove it - other suggestions towards the bottom of the above link

A2 found the entry on his pc while doing a scan.

He has not installed a key logger.

Thats not really what I asked. The program looks to me like the kind of software a parent would use to track his children's internet usage.
I have no idea how old your friend is, but this was just a thought.

I understand what you are saying and apologies for any misunderstanding in my earlier posts.

My friend is retired and is the sole user of his pc.

As far as I can see the software is written by Widestep software and I cannot see anything on his pc as I am connected via Team Viewer.

You're right - it is a valid program normally, but can be installed malevolently by hackers as well
