Can anyone point me to a reasonably-priced or freeware version?
Lots on Google.I used this click here when I had a commision for car circuit diagrams
If all else fails - use windows 'Paint.' It may sound a bit naff, but actually it's quite good. You'll have to construct your own 'library' of symbols, not a bad idea, many proprietary ones are none too clear.I've used it extensively.
have a library of electrical symbols that you can download free of chargeclick here and see if it suits your purpose.
Many thanks for the suggestions.I downloaded the trial version of Smartdraw and it really is some program - no surprise that it's so costly; but it's too comprehensive for my modest needs, likewise the Siemens.I hadn't thought of Windows Paint so maybe I'll have a closer look at that. Thanks again.
