Economical 3 in 1 printer etc

  Splodge 14:47 07 May 2007

After a long illness my HP 97xci printer has almost given up the ghost! I also have one of the original Microtek Scanmaker 3800 which just jogs along nicely.

So, I am thinking about replacing them with a reasonably priced 3 in 1 which will not cost too much for cartridges! I have been filling the current ones for some years. I think the printer has had enough of the variable quality inks!

Any recommendations please. Or, anyone got a spare 970xci laying about they would sell?

Grateful for any suggestions!

I was in your position about 3 months ago and bought a Brother DCP 130C, I have been very pleased with it although I am sure you will get many different opinions.

I would suggest, Not to get a Lexmark as these are expensive to run

Thanls all, I looked at all your suggestions and looked at 2 of them

I also used the Google search but found a replacement HP 970Cxi in Loot.

Since I have spare cartridges it made best sense!

One Amazon purveyor wanted £90 for a refurbished one... more than the original cost so I guess they are still valued.
