Easy Log-on. Does it have to be <ctrl alt del> ?

I'd like to know if I can alter the CRTL ALT DEL> key-press routine?

I'd like to log on with a key combination that could be achieved with one hand.

It's a laptop and I've got administrator rights (XP SP2) but I don't want to disable the log on procedure.

I've had a google but not been successful so far!

Thanks in advance

To be honest i dont think that is possible. the CTRL+ALT+DEL is a security feature that is either on or off.

I have never seen it be anything different. You could just disable it.

Why not alter the Log on name to three keys near to one hand

Woodchip; It's not the log-on name , it's the <CRTL ALT DEL> combination that's the problem!

Start, Run and type "control userpasswords2" but without the quotes. In the resulting dialogue box click the Advanced tab then remove the tick from "Require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete" in the Secure logon section.

Or click here for a solution using sticky keys.

I think the sticky keys option is the one for me.
