I am about to but an AMD 3500+ Venice core.

I have the option of the E3 or E6 version. Which is the better one to go for and in easy terms why?

Thanks

So ive heard its only something to worry about if you plan to overclock your system if you dont then I wouldnt worry about it to much.

Fredhead, from my earlier attempts at trying to unravel the difference, I seem to recall that whilst the E6 version is a slightly later one, it is not always universally available, whereas the E3 seemed to be. I must admits my investigations were about 2 months ago and the situation could well have changed. You could always pose the question on google, thats where I managed to find some of it from.

The e6 is supposed to have a better memory controler than the e3 step, which in turn would seem to be the better overclocker.

If you're not intennding to oc, then just get the e6 as it's the later developement.

Hope this helps.
