e-mails to say you have a response to a post

Some time ago I contacted the FE to say I was not getting notification of a response to a post and I confirmed I was putting a tick in the box below. This definitely happened and I could not find out why, I was sure I had not Green ticked it.

Now I have just ticked resolved to a post and there was a further reply that I was not aware of until I looked at my post again. Do we normally not get an e-mail when we have Green ticked a post?

Just had another response to a different post with no e-mail notification:-(

when ticked as resolved there is the statemnt that says one can still post to the subject, hence the mail which was a problem but now resolved.

The e-mail notification system seems a bit erratic at present - sometimes it operates and sometimes not.

I had a pile of notifications a few days ago for threads/posts done some time earlier.
