Try Genie Backup Manager This will save all your E-Mails, Faverites and much more. If you do as I do then you can run this every day and keep your saved files updated each day. It is a little pricey but worth it. click here
There is also another way to backup from outlook that is easier then going through the Import / Export procedure -
Simply create a new folder on say the desktop, call it emails or whatever. Open outlook (or your mail program) and in the "Inbox" folder simply "Edit - Select ALL" then when they are all highlighted drag them to the new folder.
All the emails will appear as "Envelope" Icons and you can open them idividually if required etc.
Restoreing is the reverse and copy and paste also works.
