e-mail failure

Since installing/rejecting/uninstalling a 'freebie' anti-spam offering, I now get this message when I open OE6:

'Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'pop3.nildram.co.uk', Server: '127.0.0.1', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F'

System restore does not fix it & I have run my battery of anti-spyware & anti-virus applications in vain.

I have checked ISP's fault declaration page - no probs reported.

Any suggestions?

Gosh VoG- you are quick off the mark - many thanks but I was even quicker - for once!

Looking at the error message again, the Server address looked odd, so I went into 'accounts' and changed it to 'pop3.nildram.co.uk'

Bingo!

Thanks again.
