A friend of mine sent me an e-mail from an account he had just created through virgin.net and asked me to reply to check that everything was working ok.
The next day I received a reply from virgin saying:
[email protected] (ip address) does not like recipient remote host said 550 RCPT to [email protected] user unknown, giving up on (IP address).
Has anyone any idea what the problem is exactly???.

It looks to me as if, for some reason, Virgin's e-mail servers have rejected your e-mail because they don't know or recognise your friend's new address.

It might be worth your friend sending himself an e-mail to see if it arrives in his in-box.

If it doesn't arrive or if it gets rejected in the same way that yours was, he needs to have a chat with Virgin.
