i have an email from hi[email protected] the subject is believe me with a 35kb attachment i dont jnow who this person is but is there anyway i can find out if it is a virus it is in my hotmail account thanks leo

When I see an email address like that, with an attachment from someone that I do not know,then I always delete it.Best to be safe than sorry. Is there no subject title!.

Hotmail run a free virus checker see what that says.

In all instances of suspect E mails I don`t open them but right click on them and look at properties. You can see most of the bones of the content and who its from.

You are right to be suspicious. AVG have put 3 "Updates " in the last 24 hours on their virus checkers.

That doesn`t happen for fun

Get rid of it without opening. It's quite likely to be the w32.netsky virus in the attachment
