Dynamic IP's and routers

I am considering bying an ADSl Router to allow me to network several machines and give internet access to each.

As I currently have a dynamic IP (through a speedtouch 330)would I need a static IP -at extra cost from ISP- for an 'always on' connection.

No because, with a router, it is the router which gets the (dynamic) IP address from the ISP and the router's DHCP server then allocates LAN IP addresses, probably in the 192.168.0.xxx range, to the connected PCs.
