DVI to HDMI Cable

I am planning on connecting my HD TV to my PC, but have heard that using a DVI to HDMI lead will not provide sound. Is this true? What do i need to do to obtain sound as well as picture?

DVI does not carry sound so which ever way you convert it no sound will come. HDMI does carry sound.

twin phono connectors will fill the sound gap

how would the twin phono connectors work? Should i buy a set online then?

An adapter like this or similar allows you to add the sound into the HDMI signals.
