I am trying to get a TV Program recording from a DVD-Ram disc to a DVD+R disc. The files on the RAM disc are

VR_Movie.VRO at 417,432 Kb
VR_Mangr at 25Kb a BUP file
VR_Mangr 25kb a Nerom showtime file ?

I am trying to do this using Nero but having created new compilation using the above files and then set it to burn the resulting disc is unreadable and all I have for my trouble is several new coasters :0(

Can anybody give me an idiots guide how I can achieve my goal please

Use Nero Vision Express, Make DVD and import the VRO file.

This can then be edited and then authored to DVD.

You cannot just burn the 3 files to DVD, they are the wrong format for DVD player - except when they are located on a RAM disk.

Thanks tommo2000 I'm in the process of trying out your suggestion at the moment. Have copied the file to hard disc and am currently awaiting it to burn to disc 2.5 hours to go !!

My DVD recorder will record either to RAM or -R or -RW.

After going through what you are now, I have decided the following:-

RAM - I will use like a tape and record, watch delete.

-R - For direct acurate record, no edit required.

-RW - For record (In Video mode)to edit later. Much easier.

Good luck with your project.

Hello tommo2000. Many thanks your solution worked a treat. I'm not very familier with Nero and was obviously using the wrong part. Thanks to your help I can now achieve my goal.

Always use DVD RW discs when trying things out. If it works OK then use a DVD R. That way you don't create coasters. David
