what discs should i get and what is the difference btween the 2 and if one is better for recording dvds and watching them could u plz tell me thx

There is no practical difference between the 2 formats. Use the one that is compatible with your equipment. If all your equipment is compatible with both formats, buy the brand you like best and is the cheapest.

FelixTCat has pointed out " Use the one that is compatible with your equipment. " This is a very good statement,as i have had several problems finding a dvd media that works well on my Dell laptop.

Ive now found a certain type and try to stick with this as this now works well for me.

i also have a dvd recorder and that only can take dvd-rw so ill buy the dvd-rw qnd then it will work on both laptop and recorder
