I am thinking of purchasing a DVD Rewriter, are they simple to fit?as I am a complete novice when it comes to the works inside a PC.I have noticed that there are a lot now being sold as OEM do these have everything with them to fit eg.Cables and Software. What make does anyone recommend?

Easy to fit. OEM probably don't come with software, although I know the LG does. Check the site before you buy.

but this is not big deal. The main difference is software, but the software come with drive is normally cut down version, so it is not a big deal again.

Budget for a copy of Nero 6 or similar. DVD writers are as easy to fit as a CD writer assuming that you have a spare 5.25" bay or are replacing an existing drive: 4 screws, set to master/slave, plug in the ribbon cable, away you go!

Which drive do I replace the DVD Rom drive or CD rewrite drive.

Personally I'd replace the DVD ROM with a DVD-RW, set as master on IDE2 and keep the CD-RW set as slave.
