DVD problems on Compaq Presario

Hi folks,

We're having problems trying to burn DVD's on our pc. Checked the DVD's are the correct version and carried out a firmware upgrade from the HP website.
Don't have any problems burning data onto CD.

Could it be that 512MB of memory is not enough to cope with installed programmes like Nero and the various photo packages.?

Thanks

Not only do you need a good supply of memory to burn DVD's but you also need a good sized hard drive...

Thanks.
I thought that could be the problem. The hard drive is 160GB and we've only used about 8GB, but since putting all these photoshops on,
it has slowed down and takes forever to boot up.
So it does look like I need to up the memory.
Cheers
