Could be a number of problems. Is this happening with any DVD you insert?

Have you actually ran the Autoplay repair fix ? click here

If so,make WMP your default player or try this click here and select download for windows (right hand side)

Autoplay disable/enable
1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then press ENTER.
2. Locate and click the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\CDRom
3. To disable automatically running CD-ROMs, change the Autorun value to 0 (zero). To enable automatically running CD-ROMs, change the Autorun value to 1.
4. Restart your computer.

yes argee its with all dvds whichever make, thats what i find so confusing, its like a autoplay issue but its not..ithink
if i select the drive then autoplay. choose media player then apply everything works as normal

Abi have you made a media player your default player,if not windows will not know what to use, unless you manually select....as you are currently doing.

Try my VLC link and reboot the pc,see if this autoplays. VLC click here
