DVD Player

I have my computer linked up to my television so that I can watch DVD's on my wide screen. There never used to be any problem with it but recently when I watch a DVD the colour has started to fluctuate, going from light to dark all the time. I have checked all the conections to see if any of them were loose and everthing is okay. Does anyone have any idea what might have gone wrong?

this fluctuation can be attributed to the macrovision protection on the DVD. It could be seeing this as a copy attempt.

Definitely sounds like Macrovision.

So do I assume that this means that I cannot watch DVD's on my widescreen via my computer?

you could try copying them to your hard drive . and then watch them . long winded way though i know .
