DVD Playback Volume

  fitshase 15:12 09 Feb 2007

OK, here's the thing, I watch DVDs on the my desktop computer while working at home on my laptop. However, the volume on my speakers needs to be turned up quite high to get the DVD volume audible.

Because of this, when I get an e-mail through or any error message, etc., the other sounds are extra loud. I want the volumes to be the same.

I have looked everywhere and cannot find anything to change. The advanced volume controls are all set to maximum and I am puzzled.

Any ideas?

You never state what you use to play back DVDs however try click here as I find it 100 times better than windows media player and the like.

The volume issue is the same on all software -

Windows Media Player
Nero Showtime
Power DVD

I should have mentioned that I have 2 DVD drives (one a writer and one a ROM). Running XP Pro SP2.

In device manager -right click the drive select properties - properties tab - set CD player volume to high.

It's already set to maximum on both.
