DVD no longer plays

I have recorded a DVD on my Philips DVD recorder which played fine for a while, but now it will not play (It was properly finalised). Does anyone know of how to get it working again, or any software that can fix faulty DVDs?

what programs have you been using to play the DVD?

Wil it play on the pc?If its important to you copy it on the pc and burn to afresh disc .If it will copy ok the burn .Best to use Img burn freebie that will read then write it providing it aint been corrupted though it can cope with minor errors click here

Good information, will try isobuster and imgburn, sure it will help - good to have anyway! Kitchie01- I used the DVD recorder and ordinary DVD players, as well as trying the computer. Thanks all.
