  tomorrow 16:36 11 Apr 2004

Just got myself a DVD writer but need advice.

Had a look on ebay and seen that the blank disks are either + or -. I know there are the two formats and my writer can write both but didn't relies I had to choose between blank + or - dvds.

Which format holds more on a disk and which is more reliable?

It depends what u intend to do with the disks - my DVD player connected to my TV will only read DVD -R but for Disks I intend to use on my PC I use DVD +R as I tried both types out on my new drive. Apart from that can't see much differece between them !

If it's not important just by the cheap ones

Many dvd writers support higher speeds with plus format disks as does my drive. However I buy plus just because that is the format my tv dvd recorder is able to record on.
