Hi! DVD-drive become not visible by OS Windows 7 after 5 false ISO burns; it was not in use for some months, so it could be the laser off, broken, some might assume. Reboot... BIOS won't recognize DVD-drive by default at startup! I've tried autofix for registry - didn't worked! I have a screenshot - My Computer won't show my DVD-drive, BIOS at startup as well. How can I diagnose this? How to fix this? ...Windows 7 device manager won't show DVD-drive as well. ...Windows 7 device troubleshooter won't detect any DVD-drive / or any new device as well! Please, help!! :(

Run regedit and navigate to registry key

HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}.

Highlight it and in the right pane, find the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters values.

Highlight each one in turn, right click and delete them.

Close regedit and restart the computer.

If in doubt make a restore point before making changes.
