dvd drive cannot read mp3 files

hi have just received some dvd discs loaded with mp3 files,my ordinary DVD plays them but on my
PC DVD drive , the drive just freezes ! help

Try copying them to your hard drive. If that fails, try not to play so many at once.

If you use Windows Media Player have you Enabled all the File Types from Tools>File Types?

Windows media player (no matter how powerful your pc) will struggle to play 100's of song's at once......

Doh, just got what you meant ;-)

What I meant to say was if you select all the tracks to be loaded into media player at once it'll struggle.

downloaded codecs still no joy!my dvd drive can read mp3 files off a cd disc ok but not off dvd disc
