Can anyone give me some advice on the best DVD writer to buy, beraing in mind that there seems to be so many 'standards' in use?
And also what is the best software to to use?

Many thanks

How about ECDC & DVD 6. £45 from Argos + 10 CDRs.
I have just completed my first DVD slideshow, The wife is very pleased with it. However I must admit I've had a few headaches along the way, but all seems well now. I particularly like the Drag to Disk function and Audio Central. I'm not in to video so cannot comment on this aspect. The main reason I bought a DVD RW is to archive my many thousands of photo's, the drag to Disk function is really great for this.
