DVD - Burning Question!

  herbert123 07:56 06 Jul 2008

Hi guys

I've downloaded a TV show (.avi) using a Torrent site (Mini Nova), saved to Azureus.

I can play it on my PC using the VLC Media Player. However, I'm having trouble burning it to a DVD.

Tried with Nero Version 6. Just keep getting message that it can't be created - even before I put a disc in the computer.

Any suggestions?

Finally found software that allows me to burn my .avi to a DVD RW.

But then when I try to play in my DVD player, it states that the disc is not formatted!!

Any ideas?

Mistake in using a dvd rw and not finalising the dvd, best to use a dvd-r or +r dvd.

Does your player plaqy avi files sounds like you created adat dvd and not a video dvd

jimv7, interesting point about not finalising the DVD.

With the PRism software, the CD burnt, but then kept failing whilst 'trying to write to CD' stage.

Any way around this?

Tried with Flick as suggested. Burnt ok, but still said disc not formatted when tried in my DVD player.

This klite codec pack - I can play on my PC's disc drive, so will downloading this software help me play on my DVD player??
