DVD Burn problems

  rupie 22:28 15 Nov 2006

I have been using my DVD burner to create data disks for some while, without problems. I HAVE NOT CHANGED any settings, or the box of disks, but if I now burn a disk the files on there cannot be read by any other computer. They all say the disk is blank. I have tried a few disks and if you turn it upsidedown then you can see it has done something. Put it in the original recorder and I can see everything. Is it something to do with finalising the disk ?

What program are you using to burn the discs

nero It has burned may cds and dvds in the past; probably hundreds, without changing ANY settings, infact the if I use it to burn a CD there is no probs, this is a different drive.

Without using Nero,im afraid i have little to offer except maybe something like

Tools -> Drive -> Close (Track / Session / Disc).

Hoefully this will finalise your disk ready for use in any machine.

There are several threads regarding similar issues like yours, maybe a PCA search will help you.

Good luck
