DVD back up won't play

I'm trying to copy a DVD from a team building exercise (not very relevant - but wanted to let you know I'm not doing anything illegal!)

As I want to make a number of copies I've used CloneDVD to copy onto my hard disk. Using Nero Burning ROM I've made the DVDs. However they won't play in a DVD player which normally allows DVD-/+R/RW.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Try changing the media to dvd-r and are you finalising the disc's.

Try nero vision express, as you have nero this should be included with it.

Have you tried burning from the image with Clone DVD?
I'm thinking that perhaps the Clone image is slightly different and by using a different burning program you aren't getting a playable image. Other thought is the image is corrupt.

Thanks for your responses.

I am using DVD-R.

What do you mean by finalising the discs? They do play on one of my machines.

Which option do I use on nero vision express?

Using CloneDVD I can't work out how to Clone multiple copies without ripping the image every time.

Without using Nero,i cannot help you how to finalise the disc but will be there somewhere.

A lot of disks have to be finalised before they will play in a standalone dvd player,i think you may be a bit lucky if they play without finalising.

Have you not got a ripped copy of the film saved on the harddrive ?

Im sure someone who uses Nero will help in finalising the disk.

It could of course just be the media, plays in some machines but not others.
