Hi guys, any idea why when I play dvds of any sort on WMP there is no sound. Even though I can play music and system sounds and sounds from games. I have checked device manager and everything is in working order. Im using XP SP2 WMP 11

From WMP's Tools>Options>Devices tab>highligh Speakers>Properties. Ensure that your Default sound device is selected in the menu.

Also, from the File Types tab, ensure that All Types are selected, including DVD.

You could also be missing one or more codecs. The Standard K-Lite codecs pack serves the majority of needs. See:
