Dual graphics card

Does it pay to have dual graphics cards or one decent card?.

We were discussing/arguing about this today at work.

Depends on a lot of things...

If you decide to go with an SLI config you need a CPU that will not bottleneck a more powerful PSU more memory,and of course you need to buy TWO cards, all of which is not cost effective, taking into consideration there are not really many if any games that can take full advantage of all this extra hardware...

So

in my opinion one good card would suffice....

you can get some cards with 2 gpu's on one card, the 4870x2 is one so it will work on either a crossfire or sli board as it only uses one slot.
