Dual Booting Problems

click here for the full story but now something very bizarre has happened!! I done as paperman27 suggested and backed up and started afresh. I installed 2000 over XP on 'C' then XP over 2000 on 'D' now I have 3 options on boot up. The new install of 2000, a new XP and a third which is my old XP and I can access all 3 ok. But my harddrive only seems to be in 2 - C and D. Whats going on!!

click start > run and type "msconfig"

In the the window that opens click the boot.ini tab and click the "check all boot paths" button

What is in boot.ini ? Have a look using msconfig.

It reads as follows:-

(boot loader)
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\windows
(operating systems)
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\windows='XP Professional'/fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\winnt='2000'/fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows='XP Professional'/fastdetect

Hope you can understand ok!!
