Dual Boot Problem

I have two internal drives and following a crash (which turned out to be a hardware fault now fixed) i tried to repair Xp with the recovery CD. What happened was the CD loaded a copy of Xp on the second D drive so when i booted up i have two choices. i formatted and reinstated a good Xp OP system on the C drive then formatted the second D drive hoping the dual boot choice would disappear. However it is still there. I have edited the Bios Cmos to boot off one disc or a CD Rom. Can anyone help me tp get rid of the dual boot choice at startup.

Thanks in advance
Graham

You need to edit the boot.ini file.

Hi alan2273,

Thanks for the reply. I followed your link and found there were two entries int default operating system box. Just to be on the safe side I only amended the time to the top one but my systen now boots straight into the C Drive. I have two lines ending in fast detect with one having /NoExecute=Optin. Which one is it safe to delete?
Thanks once again
Graham
