DTP Software

At my school, previous years have always had an end of year, year book. This has often been shoddy quality with picture cut up and stuck onto a piece of A4 (I know, its a comprehensive, what do you expect!?). I came up with the idea of using software to develop the year book whereit will be easy to manipulate picture etc and add text, with a reasonably high quality.

The only question is, what type of software (brands etc..) would we use for doing this?

Thanx in advance

Look at the Serif Page Plus packages that are around at present either on PC mags or via the "Super Cheap" £3.25 offers currently being posted to people. The package is reasonable to use, can give a good result and, as you see, is in line with most school budgets. ;>}}
