Drop downs I.E. drop dows

  saxman 12:40 30 Apr 2006

Recently I appear to have dowloaded Google and MSN tool bars, which now appear on my desktop. I would like to remove them. Also since this occured the address line in IE seems to have lost the ability to anticipate my previously visited sites. When I start to type the address no options are offered and when I click on the down arrow, next to the go, nothing happens. Previously I used to get a long list of address'. I am running WinXP SP2.
Can anyone help please?

They should be removable from Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs.
