Everytime i shut down or hibernate my laptop
(Dell XPS m1530, 3Gb, core2duo 2.2 8100) after using any of my usb devices i get a blue screen with 'driver_state_power_failure.
This happens each time and its truly annoying. i mean there must be some way of fixing this problem.
i tried the windows hotfix (KB929762) (click here)

thanks in advance to all responses.

i forgot to mention that i did indeed try the hotfix that i mentioned before, but it didnt work. It comes up with ' this does not apply to your system'. I mean what the hell does that mean???

Its a driver failing to wake from hibernate, you will need to check you have the latest drivers start with the USB controller drivers.
