i re-installed a toshiba satellite laptop with windows XP professional, from the windows XP home edition which it ran before

now i am having a problem accessing the internet, when i connec the internet cable i can not establish a connection and the signals do not blink as usual.

if i put the cursor on the notification icon on the bottom right if the task bar, it shows the status as being connected at the speed of 400Mbps!

even when i remove the internet connection it still shows as being connected.

it feels like it is a problem on drivers for the network!

can anyone help me on how to settle this mistery? I'm completely stuck and i cant go further!

my laptop's model no. is: PSM40U-01R001, it is a Satellite M45-S331 SYSTEM UNIT!

i have a lapop TOSHIBA Satellite A205-S4777, i want to remove widows Vista from it and instead install windows XP.

when I insert the CD it cant recognize the SATA hard disk.

i have not been able to locate a driver for this computer online that can help me solve the myth.

now i'm asking for advice; will i be able to use a similar driver that is being used in different laptop brands like IBM or any other?

and if yes, which one could probably fit in this model of laptop that I have?

thanking you in advance,

/Godbless
