I have a old desktop which is running win98 SE...i have recently reinstalled win98, but have lost all the drivers. i have no idea what sound card or graphics card it has. is there a program or website which could scan the system and tell me what i need?. Can driver guide toolbox do this? or any other suggestions?

This can be a Problem as Software will not always come up with the Correct Answer. the only sure fired way is to look at the Hardware for numbers and names on cards and Mobo etc, Drives do not need drives, But you will need the Motherboard Drivers for ant Hardware on it Like EIDE Controllers USB etc

Its the sound and graphics what are the problem, i cant seem to find what they are.

If they are onboard, no cards in slots then you need to go to the motherboard Site to download them. Otherwise Have a look at the cards in PCI slots and get info off the cards
