You can download your drivers from Epson click here

If you do, delete the scanner from your system first and then install the download

It will not allow me to load the Epson Update driver (Epson Scan 2.7) comes up with this message.

Has not passed the windows logo testing to verify its compatibility with windows XP may impair or destabalize. It was when I tried to load this before that I got the problem.

Do you think it is a registry problem?

You should still get the option to install anyway or not,do you get this?,windows will make a restore point so if you gave bother you can revert back to before you installed.

Anb E mail to Epson customer service for the particular scanner should give a result.

Yes I got the option to install and it was this install that caused the problem.

Originally I installed the scanner and it worked but only with a WIA driver it would not recognise the Twain driver, I was told Twain was better so updated fron the Epson site. This update then stopped the WIA drive rfrom working and also now could not load a Twain driver. I could contact Epson as suggested.

It made a restore point but restoring would not restore to a error free point, looks like restore does not restore the registry.

Do you think that I could have corrupted the registry
from the event viewer entry.
