Can anyone please offer an explanation/help re message which now appears on my pc when starting to use my Epson1650 scanner "tvichw32 driver open error" when I click OK I then get "cannot load ASPI layer driver". Neither seems to affect scanning or anything else that I have since used. Thanks

you might try disconecting your printer with computer shut off
and than restart, goto start, settings, printers, remove printer from there. shut off computer rehook printer, reboot, goto settings, printers and reinstall printer.
you may allso goto add new hard ware first and install any soft ware from cd if printer came with one.

do you have any reference to tvichw32 in the start-tab list of msconfig

  Rtus 19:56 12 Jan 2003

I dont think tvichw32 belongs to epson scanner its more a Win Nt /2000 /Xt type control like the Aspi device controlers but I could be wrong, But what O/s are you running?

Rtus thanks for your efforts, I don't use games, I am on XP and the only alteration made was to install new Epson925 printer and yet this seems unaffected the error message pops up only when I try Epson scanner thanks again
