driver autoupdate for audigy se soundcard

  pookie 10:23 27 Feb 2006

i can't get the autoupdate from creative website to run - it keeps bringing up the message:'ActiveX control failed to load! -- Please check browser security settings or ensure that you have administrator rights.

Please set any installed pop-up blockers to allow pop-ups from this site in order to use the AutoUpdate service.'

Windows own pop up blocker is set to 'off' - what else do i need to do?

many thanks

Do you have a firewall running?
I have to drop mine for a little while and then it works for me.
If you know what audigy soundcard you have you can download the update from a list rather than update with the autoupdate.
Try this: click here

You can change activeX settings in Internet Explorer by going to Tools-internet options-security and then clicking on the custom level button and a window will open up allowing you to change settings.
