Hi, I have a Sony VAIO L14S1E/S Computer. It has a NVIDIA GeForce 330M GT GPU. The current driver for the GPU installes is 189.50 however the latest drive is 260.99. When I go to download it, it says I should check the Sony website first for new drivers as it may be unsafe to install unless it is from Sony. Sony have no new drivers on there website. Is it safe for me to download and install the latest driver?

Thanks in advance

Why do you want to install a newer driver? Unless you are experiencing problems then I would leave alone (if it ain't broke, etc).

It says it will improve performance, in some games I own

It could also make things worse - driver updating should ALWAYS be done from the Manufacturers website - ie. in your case SONY. Update the other one at your own risk.

Hi, I have decidied to update. I have e-mailed Sony and they are testing the driver at the minute
