I want to update my DVD firmware but need to make a bootdisk which I don't know how to do. BUT I rarely use my A: drive and when I have just tried ANY disk I put in is reported as being unformatted but then it won't allow me to format it. Any ideas?
It sounds like the drive may be at fault. I think you can make a boot disk using a CD ROM instead. There is facilities to do this on the CD ROM burning program I use, but haven't tried it yet, you may have the same.
