double tool bar

I clicked in the tool bar and it went to double size in Windows XP home and I cannot get it to go back to single size. I know I am supposed to get the two arrows and drag it but this doesn't seem to work. Can anyone help please?

Are the icons double size? If they are, unlock the taskbar, right click on the divider bar next to the "Start" button. Select "View" "Small Icons"

Another idea. Sometimes when strange things happen on the desktop, then resetting the theme to the default Windows XP (right click on the desktop - Properties - Themes) clears it. You will then have to reapply any changes to the default that you want.

click here Restore to Windows default.
