DOS application running under Windows 95b. This application has started to fail and shows low memory error message.New memory stick has not resolved problem.Any ideas please
DOS applications don'tuse meory in the same way as Windows. They rely primarily on the amount of free memory in the first 640Kb of the total. Are you running the appliaction in a DOS box unedr Windows, or rebooting into DOS?Put ... free ram for dos programs ... into a Google search, and you will be given lots of links for ways to free up memory in the vital first 640Kb
Do you know what the ems/xms entries in your config.sys file should be for the application? Do you have the manual for the app?
sounds like you need to have ems and highmem system enabled. if i remember correctly you can boot to dos and run memmaker
