Does regedit show all?

  ened 11:28 10 Apr 2005

I am trying to amend the way a programme starts.

It is a game for which the disc is periodically needed in order to play. I have damaged the disc and when I contacted the manufacturer (Ubisoft) they merely suggested that I go and purchase a replacement.
I thought I would attempt to find the relevant entry in the registry and amend it but all the folders under Ubisoft show empty in the right hand pane.

Am I looking in the wrong way/place?
I am using XPPro and am theadministrator.

Try regedit32, but I rather suspect your problem is hard coded into the game.

I am about to try that but there must be a way around it because it is set to ask for the disc after 14 days or 20 plays whichever is the sooner. So I suspect there are some values somewhere which can be changed.

I tried regedit32 in the run box and it doesn't work.
Can you explain what you meant please?

is an alternative editor that should run in XP. But it wont, because I gave you the wrong command -Sorry :-(

Try the command;

or regedt32.exe
