does anyone have free nas?

does anyone have free nas? someone recommended it to me for using as a server on a simple network. i have installed it & now i'm supposted to setup my network connection. the only problem is i don't have a clue. it puts things like "available networks are ad0 & ax01" can someone tell me how to translate this to english or point me in the right direction

Tried freenas for a bit seems pretty good but ended up going with Naslite , they have a free version which I ran for months with no problem ended up buying it,
only problem I had with freenas was a hard drive bios issue if I remember right, Naslite ignores this so worked better for me.
freenas seems to have a lot more options though.
one problem with Naslite is it cannot be accessed from the internet its designed for local network.
depends what you need I suppose?
