I have a 1MB unlimited account with Tiscali (it was 2MB but it's a long story well documented elsewhere in the forums).

I played around with Dr. TCP and eventually got the settings to:

Top Receive Window: 12762

DialUp RAS MTL: 1458

MTU: 1458

Since then my click here speed test figures have been pretty constant at one and a quarter MB...:-)

A lot better than half-a-meg and, occasionally, even worse.

But if you do try them, keep a note of the orignal settings just in case...:-)

You don't actually need to note down original settings as by blanking out the boxes, saving then rebooting will take you back to default.

I'd been altering them for a while - last set proved OK until I decided I might do even better...:-)

Getting 1.25MB consistently throughout the day now...:-)

Think I might leave my MAC number to lapse....

As a matter of interest, what do you get with this click here I found the Manx one a bit inconsistant.
