Hi,

I was just wondering if I needed to install one of the windows updates that came through today.

It's the update that gives you the choice of which browser to install, I'm on XP and I.E 7

I've 'hidden' this update for the time being.

Regards, Chris.

No need to download it.
I just set it not to show the update again.
Those that have got it set to automatic updates will wonder what it is.

Thanks for the info.

I'll just leave it 'hidden'.

Regards, Chris.

I think i was asleep when I downloaded the updates last night for Vista. As I've used an alternative browser since 1914 I hope the downloads have done no harm.

You've been using the internet for 96 years?

I bow to your experience!

I installed this without thinking and learned my lesson. I was unable to connect any installed browser until it was uninstalled.

That deserves a round of applause!

KB976002 cannot be uninstalled according to Microsoft and 'Programs&Features' on my PC;-)

Correct - it cannot be removed once installed - it tells you before downloading.
